Early Foundations of Tomball

In the early 19th century, intrepid settlers were drawn to Tomball’s picturesque landscape – an open expanse of fertile land blessed with generous rainfall, ideal for farming and cattle-raising. The origins of the city trace back to a significant land grant awarded in 1838 to William Hurd’s heirs, setting the stage for the town’s development.

The Railroad Boom

Tomball’s ascent to prominence began in 1906 when the railroad brought the promise of growth and prosperity. Positioned strategically at the boundary between the undulating Texas hills and the flat coastal plains of the Gulf, Tomball emerged as a vital train stop.

Thomas Henry Ball, an astute attorney for the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railroad, recognized the potential and successfully convinced the railroad to route through downtown Tomball. This decision set the wheels of change in motion, leading to a wave of migration to this bustling new train stop.

The Growth of a Thriving Community

As word spread about the accessibility offered by the railroad, people flocked to Tomball, giving rise to a vibrant and bustling community. Newcomers and entrepreneurs seized the opportunity, giving birth to hotels, boarding houses, saloons, and mercantile stores that lined the streets, catering to the needs and desires of the burgeoning population.

Sunday night about 11 PM a raccoon drop down into my fireplace. Talk about shocked and scared. I called the Constable‘s office and they came out and helped me board up the fireplace. I posted on nextdoor and A Neighbor recommended a wildlife removal. I am so thankful they did the lady I spoke to was so kind and nice. They scheduled me right away.Tomas Marcelo Came out and did a total inspection. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He did not try to sell me, but try to explain to me all the options I had. After he finished, I feel very safe to be back in my home again, knowing that I probably will not have another visit in my chimney from a raccoon. Needless to say, I highly recommend this company. They’re fair, honest and truly have a heart to help not only the homeowner but the animals as well.
