Atascocita is one of the fastest-growing areas in the US. It is in Texas, located in Harris County in the northeastern part. The city lies 18 miles to the northeast of downtown Houston. Housing and Demographics
The 2010 census showed Atascocita having 65,844 people, 11,006 households, and 9,432 families living in the area. Atascocita’s population density stood at 1,296.3 people per square mile. The racial make-up of the community was 67.8% white, 19.2% African Americans, 2.8% Asians, and 0.5% Native Americans. Furthermore, there were 0.3% of Pacific Islanders and 2.9% of two or more races. A mix of Latino and Hispanic races stood at 22.08% of the population.
Of the 11,006 households sampled, 50.1% had children of 18 years and below staying with parents. Married couples were 73.8% of those staying together, while 8.9% were females without husbands. The figure returned 14.3% of non-families. Individual households formed 11.2%, and 1.8% were people living alone, 65 years and above. According to the census, the city had a median age of 32 years. Every 100 female residents represented 111.8 males.

The known private school near the city that supports it is the PK-5 Holy Trinity Episcopal School. Lone Star College, which opened its doors in 2011, supports college education. It offers basic education to adults and college classes to meet degree requirements. An evening center that offers bachelor’s degrees is the University of Houston-Downtown.
